Used Truck Advice: 06 GMC 2500 Sierra 4x4 gaser

Our friends are truck shopping with the idea of getting a hard side Lance 815 or similar camper. This is the truck they are looking to get, any idea on how this will handle a non-slide hardside 8' TC...

I think it's always a good idea to find the TC first. There are a few people here with similar trucks and non-slide campers, so I'll let them describe how they ride.
