Used Truck Advice: 06 GMC 2500 Sierra 4x4 gaser

Our friends are truck shopping with the idea of getting a hard side Lance 815 or similar camper. This is the truck they are looking to get, any idea on how this will handle a non-slide hardside 8' TC...

That truck will have a 9200 pound GVWR with the stock tires. Ready to go with family and full tank of fuel its going to weigh between 6500 and 7000 pounds. Not leaving much room for a camper. They really should lik at a 3500 truck instead.
