using ipad for navigation

purchased a ipad 2 wi fi only to use navigation apps on the road.
it is useless because if doesn't have a gps. Live and learn

  • Also, GPS systems are usually much cheaper than an ipad. I purchased a Garmin three years ago and it came with life time map updates. I've seen them advertised for under a hundred dollars.
  • Yup. A GPS is really the item to buy for navigation. IMHO the way to go. It speaks the directions for you, so you don't have to keep taking your eyes of the road to look down at an iPad! Plus what happens when you are not around a wifi signal. :S
