Strictly my opinion, but it seems to me that any small gains due to "V" shape would be negated by the increased surface area. The "V" walls are still frontal surfaces, only bigger.
Want to improve "aerodynamics" of whatever you're towing? Keep your speed down!
Drag only begins to matter at about fifty, and increases very dramatically with every five mph increase after that.
