Vail Tires? The sidewalls bulge out....

We have a 2013 Forest River Salem 27DBUD. I check lug nut torque each trip, as well as air pressure. We returned from a month in Florida with no tire issues... However, getting ready for Colorado, I was checking lug torque and psi and ... WOW... one of the tires has a huge bulge on the side...like the side wall is busted. I took the tire off and am going to take to get replaced, but I noticed they are "VAIL SPORT" tires. Never heard of Vail Sport tires before...and found no website. They are made in China...and looks to be a cheapo low quality tire. All of them are having issues after more detailed inspection.

Anyone heard of Vail tires? I think I will replace ALL of them.

  • Any experience with Towmaster tires? I called locally owned (and family owned) Firestone dealer who replaces a lot of RV tires with Towmaster brand. He said they use them on skidsteers, equipment, trailers, etc...

Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone has any experience with them before I make the purchase.
  • sadly, yet another example of cheap charlie china bomb ST tires.

Replace with name brand LT tires and carry on !

And I'd get in touch with Forest River....you shouldn't be replacing tires this soon, and they should have some sort of warranty. You may not get full replacement, but maybe they can help with some of the cost.:)
