Julie, what many don't realize is that you are in California and hybrids fetch much higher prices than other parts of the country.
this was a big reason we gave up buying a used one out here and bought a new one from a Midwest dealer.
saved us over $4000, even after trip costs.
heck, even new hybrids fetch MSRP prices out here because dealers know they have customers over a barrel, since most won't make the type of trip we did, to save money.
so, even though it's an old hybrid, good used hybrids are rare out here, therefore they can charge whatever they want and will probably find someone willing to pay that, since a new one would cost over $20k.
