Other than the universal reality a dealer will do all they can do bend you over on your trade in value, local market conditions may also factor in to their offer. Generally a dealer may keep an in demand vehicle in good shape to sell rather than send it to auction. If your local truck market is soft, that may be a problem. Have you considered selling it yourself?
