Vent fan opinions

OK, I have a Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8329SS, 35 ft, front bedroom. There are 4 roof vents, fairly equally spaced, with the bathroom vent being a fan (maxair, fantastic vent, etc.). I would like to add one more (fan), replacing one of the existing standard vents and I am just looking for opinions of which one would make the most sense. The front one is, as I said, the bedroom, the second in line is the bathroom (already has a fan), the third is over the kitchen and the fourth is over the rear living room area. Just looking for increased air flow so I was thinking that the fourth one might make the most sense, simply due to spacing. But I am not sure if spacing actually enters into it so I am looking for any opinions out there.

By the way the front one (bedroom) has the closest available power source with a light less than a foot away. The other two have lights that are closer to two feet away but I'm thinking that shouldn't be my only criteria.

Thoughts, gang?

    With a TT that size is it prepped for a 2nd AC at that rear vent? May be power there already if it is.

    Our FW has a rear kitchen so I installed a remote control fantasic 14 speed in that hole. We can open the bedroom vent a little and run the 14 speed in the kitchen and not hear it. The 14 speed also has an automatic temp setting.

    One absolute is to NOT put the fan in the bedroom! Too much noise.
    My thought is to put the fan as far away from the bedroom as possible. One can open windows in the bedroom (assuming there are any) to get air flow to the occupants. Opening the ceiling vent in the bedroom will not get air to the occupants.
    Also, fans should always exhaust. Windows can be open to control the air flow. If the fans blow in they only affect the area just below the fan.

    Ceiling vent in the bedroom works well for cool night air. Yes, the daytime theory of using ceiling vent fans IS to open windows and not pull hot roof air DURING the day. Also quieter with the windows closed.

    One of the best mods we ever did was to put a thermostatically controlled Fantastic fan in the bedroom. It's set to go off by itself at a certain temp and it makes it very comfortable in there and doesn't make noise that keeps us awake.

    Check out the vortex ii fan. It mounts to the existing vent bracket, so you don't need to break the roof seal on the vents.

    It is a bit noisy, but the price was right for me, and installation was super easy.

    Kitchen. Exhaust hot cooking air and smells. Bath and kitchen you need to exhaust and noise usually not a factor. Sleeping and living areas you want to draw cool air in and keep quiet.

    I have to agree with ScottG and disagree with the post about not putting one in your bedroom. You just need to do your homework on the fan noise issue.

    The last time out we were at Silver Falls State Park in their old section and had issues with low voltage so quit using the AC with temps in the low 90,s for the weekend (we were pretty shaded with trees as well).

    We have two Fantastic Vents, one in the bedroom of our 5er, the other near the rear kitchen in the LR area. Both are temp controlled and pretty quiet when on their lower speeds. Both can be reversed. Normally I use them with windows open some to pull cool air in and exhaust the fans out.. This time when going to bed I reversed the bedroom fan to pull in the night time air. Setting up these fans the way I did was one of the best mods I've spent on any trailer and would do again in a heart beat. I also believe we use the AC less overall.

    We just ordered a 3029W Windjammer with almost the same floor plan as yours. We ordered the optional fan in the kitchen area to assist in exhausting odors etc. because our stove vent does not exhaust outside.
    If I were you I would remove the ceiling vent bracket in the kitchen and look for the wiring. It may already be there because your trailer could have been ordered with that vent fan option.

    Rockwoods are difficult to fish wiring in the walls or ceilings due to the fact they have solid foam insulation there.
