I think someone should submit this to Mythbusters to find out if leaving vents open really does anything to lower the temperatures inside the TT. Even with the vents closed, by the nature of the air flow over the TT itself while traveling, it should draw some of the heat off the surfaces, thereby reducing temps inside. Similar to what a fan does for a person sitting in a hot room.
Now if there were a way to start up the A/C about an hour prior to getting to the CG, I'd be game for that! I guess you could theoretically do that with a generator....
