Yeah, do the loop. I think coming in via Bloody Basin and descending east to the Verde, then exit south to Cave Creek is the best way to see the views. Either way, it takes 3-4 hours of slow travel to get there. I didn't air down my tires this time because my compressor died, but it's a good idea for the rocky last ten miles.
