Im fully aware how internet revenue works, and I say one more time... Photobucket has not gotten $.01 off of ME.... is that better? I could care less if they place ads on a picture link I post

That makes no sense at all since Photobucket makes zero$ on me using their site as a picture host, and I likewise pay zero$ to do so. So how does this cause them to fail?
it didn't appear that you had a good grasp on how these services make their money. No one is debating if you have paid money to PhotoBucket to use their service or not. My posts are answering the question that was asked which was how would this move cause them to fail.
When users abandon the service, the service can no longer make money off of those users. This type of revenue is a substantial reason why these types of services can stay in business. When users leave in droves, the revenue generated by those users disappears as well. This is how the service could fail.
It's a move that can have unintended consequences. While this move mostly targets the commercial moochers, it may very well alienate the so called free users at the same time. Without the masses of free users and the revenue generated by them, PhotoBucket would become dependent on subscription plans. With many free options out there I doubt people will flock to subscription plans and the money generated from the few that do may not be enough to support the company in its current state. So while you and millions of others have paid nothing to use PhotoBucket over the years, you leaving the service has a dramatic and real impact.
