Video - F350 Super Duty 6.7L vs Ram & Silverado

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but since we got to pull our TT's with something it seemed like the right place. This is an interesting video from Ford on their new 2015 F350 diesel vs the competition. Of course, since it's from Ford you expect it to show their product in a favorable light, still, it is what it is. Check it out:

  • If anyone is influenced by this type of advertising by any of the 3 truck makers (yes 3, sorry Toyota guys) they are very shallow and gullible and salesman love a chump like that. Just an observation, I love Ford trucks and will buy them because they serve me the best (have owned all 3) and no advertising ever trumps my experience with a product. Also Ram and Silverado/Sierra guys always seem to carry the biggest chip on their shoulder. Not sure why that is unless it is just an attempt to take a swing at the sales leader.

Thats funny. I have owned a Silverado, a Ram, an F150 and an F-250. They all have their pluses and minuses, but I never had to push one of them. And,,, if I did I would just call the triple A guy and wait for a ride, then bring that truck to the dealer for a new one.

    2001 Silverado, traded for a 2007 F-150 Harley/ traded for a 2011 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn/traded for an 2013 F-250 Lariat

    :)
  • Every time I see one of these videos come out, by any of the Big 3, I just laugh. Any of the 3 can produce a video showing their truck winning some contest. They are fun to watch, but like westend said, I wouldn't make a buying decision over a video like that, if I were in the market.

I still watch the videos, though. Good entertainment.

  • Marketing, and poor marketing at that. Does anybody make a buying choice because of 9 seconds difference over 5 miles?
  • I stopped watching after they said "21 seconds" faster. When I am pulling my camper, 21 seconds just doesn't matter. Videos written by the same guys that publish tow ratings. It never ends..............
  • This may be the worst comparison I have ever seen...
Ford rear 4:30 versus Ram 4:10
Ford Rear 4:30 versus Chevy 3:73

    Classic apples to oranges

If you put another ford in the competition with the same rear that the Ram and Chevy had it would also loose to the ford with the 4:30 rear...
