It can be a lot of work getting a vintage TT up to being roadworthy and convenient with all the amenities. Been there.
I don't think you'll have a good towing experience pulling a tandem axle trailer and any newer car. Most vintage tandem axle TT's are going to be 3K lbs+. You are probably going to be making a compromise somewhere along the purchase route, either a smallish TAB type trailer or using a bigger tow vehicle.
If you already own a van, you might think about outfitting it with camping amenities and pulling your product behind in a small trailer.
