I have zero regrets on ordering my 2500HD Sierra with a 6.0 Vortec for use here in Alaska. Plenty of power (especially at our elevations), runs smooth with the new 6 speed transmission, engine provides heat many miles before a diesel (which is huge in the winter), gasoline is available everywhere (including in the spare cans for my ATV's and snowmachines), and the additional payload is handy with a truck camper and toys in tow. Do it!
