I think the "pump rub" issue was fixed on the GMT900 body style (07.5 +)
I had a 6.0L in the 2002 2500HD truck. I towed a 21SW Desert Fox with it. It was a great truck. I didn't come anywhere close to using it up. in the 6 years I owned it, I only put about 40k miles on it.
