Another happy Vortec 6.0 owner here.
I get 11-13MPG unloaded and 10MPG loaded.
I have taken a number of trips where I have driven through the Rockies. Sure, it takes a while to get up to speed on an incline, but I don't know that I would drive any faster if I had more power. My truck is also an every-other-daily driver and I am very happy with it.
