Voyageur National Park

We would like to visit Voyageur National Park. However, I read where all their campsites are water excess only.

Are there any campgrounds in the area accessible to RVs? We have a 26 ft. TT
  • Me and the DW spent a lot of time with the kids and grandkids canoe camping in the Boundary Waters. But now we are stopping by Voyageurs on our way west. I will check into some of the suggested campgrounds.

    Thanks
  • If you have an ipad, the allstays app is well worth the $10.
Entering in Voyageurs NP, I got the following:
Arnold's Campground in International Falls Water, sewer, and Electric hookups.
Pine Aire CG overlooking Kabetogema Lake Water and Elec. hookups.
Red Pine Lodge and Resort near Kabetogema Lake
Ash River CG MN DNR (primitive, no hookups, etc)
Water's Edge CG near Crane Lake (no info)
Lake Jeanette CG US Forest Service - a bit farther away, but a very nice CG on Lake Jeanette. Water and vault toilet available, but no hookups.
And a Wallyworld just across the border from I-Falls where it appears overnight stays are allowed.
  • I just got back from Voyageur. I did not do the RV thing (I don't have one yet) but stayed at a lake front cabin. We traveled around some and saw several spots that appeared to have RVs on them. Much of the park is water, large lakes and marsh and yes there are some areas that are only accessible by boat, but there are many other areas that can be reached from land. It is a beautiful place and if you ae into fishing for Walleye it is great (the slot limit is frustrating though). Enjoy
