Nothing wrong with the setup of the brakes themselves. I'm referring to a problem I had with the wires running through the axles. It's a common problem to have to wire chafe inside of the axle or at one of the exists. This eventually causes a short which causes braking problems. In my case one of the brake wires chafed at one exit because of a missing grommet and another chafed pretty badly inside one of the axles. Normally something that you hear of after a few years in service, but in my case it happened rather quickly. Since the majority of trailer out there share the same design, you see it across the board.
