OK, I got an e-mail back from Dave at Northwood & he said the incandescent bulb I am trying to replace is from Optronics & the number is 4010040. Before I got that e-mail I called a local bulb store ( Watts UP ) & talked to the lady there. I described the bulb to her & she thinks it is similar to a T5 #912 2700K Wedge Base incandescent bulb. She said she has an LED, "white light", for $5.95 that could possible work. My wife would rather have a 2700K light which would look more like the incandescent I plan on removing. So I guess I am searching for a bulb like that. If I can't find the 2700K LED I will have to settle for the "white light" LED, which is a higher K number.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Too bad a person can't just go to the local auto store & buy what they want. I did see a number of LED lights in the auto store but not what I was wanting. I imagine a few years down the road we may see a lot more LED's in the stores & relatively few incandescents.
I really appreciate all the suggestions. I will be checking them out.
Thanks,
Big Rig
Their catalog says that light takes a 922 wedge bulb . Here is a place that has LED replacements for all types of bulbs .
