Wanting to buy a "newer" truck.

Pretty tough to beat a Ford Super Duty, either in 3/4 ton or 1 ton. 3/4 tons are good for a 3000# camper and 1 tons go to 4k sized camper in gas powered models. V10's have more then enough power for any load. Diesel models weigh so much that your hauling capacity is reduced to a point that most big campers put you overloaded. I would suggest an extended cab long box at 156" wheelbase or the extended cab shortbox at 142" wheelbase. For all practical purposes the F250 and F350 are same truck from a drivetrain prospective, legal weight carrying capacity about only difference.
