Always use a "carwash". You don't want to strip off the wax with laundry detergent or dish soap. And, mequires liquid wax once a year. I use an electric buffer - carefully.

Agreed. Using a household detergent of any kind strips of any protective wax. I use a wash/wax product designed for RVs. One benefit is that it holds the suds that in turn holds the dirt so it can be rinsed off. The wax is a cleaner wax for RVs from Mequires. It's a liquid and goes on and wipes off easily.
