Well, scratch the CW washing off the list....yikes!
Back to the pressure washer....I'll meet you halfway on this. I think most folks are of the thought that you can just blast off the bugs and grunge and have it done quick and easy. That's where the huge mistake comes in, IMHO....decals, water intrusion, no chance to get up close and personal to notice potential problems. I can agree that a light fan spray and easy-does-it is likely perfectly fine.
Guess we do have the luxury at home of having a covered area where Rocky lives 24/7, but also a long driveway and we just hook up and pull forward. A bucket of Turtle Wax Car Wash or whatever and a long handled soft brush + a car wash mitt and garden hose and we're good. Rocky hadn't had a bath since our CO trip and we were very thankful that DH had given the front a really good waxing before that trip....3000+ miles of bugs was a stinker to remove. We'd still be out there debugging had it not been for the wax.
