I'm not a blind cheerleader fan of or for any particular brand or engine etc. I am a cheerleader fan for the actual facts and the truth as documented indisputable data has established over designated time periods backed by consumer demand. Not overblown loose lip claims or falsely exaggerated wannbe bragging to make something into something it is not. Sales numbers amongst the price ocmpetitive competition almost always tells it like it really is. The buying public isn't as dumb as many various brand pushers think they are. They simply vote with their wallets year after year after year as it should be. If something sells less than the competitions there has to be a reason and the buying public seems to know the reasons. It's the very long established and proven law of supply and demand. An intelligent manufacturer does not vastly over supply beyond the actual demand as doing so will bring certain financial disaster.
This has nothing to do with me! I'm only the messenger of the documented established and written facts. However, some people can't read or accept facts because perhaps they do not want to! Yes it's a thick forest but some can't see it because of all the trees. Enjoy!

- HannibalExplorerThat or simply let Dodge/Cummins fans enjoy a milestone without having a tantrum and throwing in the usual adolescent detractors. No one cares how many dmax's have been built. Keeps the girly men out of Dodges and Fords. :B
- HannibalExplorerWhat you and travelnuts should do is start a new thread titled "How great thou art" and you could just reply back and forth to each other until your egos pop!
- Engineer9860ExplorerThe admonishments being passed around in this thread are laughable. You guys take your passions far too seriously. The Cummins is just another automotive engine that fits the role it was intended to do. It is not a golden calf.

Hannibal,
Only someone with your knowledge and mental ability would try to change the Cummins 5.9 diesel non-existent glow plugs. How many time have you tried to do it already? ever had success yet? No wonder you "work for the man" as a gofer goofer!
You're still here whining? You started out irrelevant and have become even more irrelevant. Why don't you just go away.
I've said that about your posts since about 4/12/2002. - HannibalExplorer

It would be neat to see it become the next million mile Ram/Cummins!

Great Video. I have worked on a lot of Cummins Engines. We used them for driving Cargo Pumps and Generators. Some of the smaller Tugs that I worked on had them as Main Engines. They have always had a great rep.
I have to wonder if whomever got that engine in their new truck knows that it was the 2 Millionth engine. It would be cool if they put a special badge on it. A big customer or supplier probably got it though.
I have a good friend who is a production engineer at that plant. I'll ask him if he knows where the engine went.
Just in case anyone is interested in the original intent of this thread. :)
My friend at the plant said he heard the engine got put in a truck and sent to a very large volume dealer down in Texas. This engine has a red valve cover.
