WH has plumbing holes with 1/2" pipe thread.
Going from there different TC builders use different materials.
Copper usually have flare fitting. Plastic pipes, compress washers.
If you are not familiar how to deal with it, better call professional.
Small crack on the tubing in hard to access space can turn pretty costly mistake.
