Suburban water heaters come OEM with outside switch.........if there is also an inside switch the RV Mfg. has added that one.
Older Atwoods had the electric switch on backside of WH.......even more of a PITA placement. They finally went to a dual panel switch.
Common sense (hehehe) would have both electric/gas switches inside on a common panel :S
