I once had a refrigerator roof vent leak, and ref was next to bathroom. Water ran to bathroom area and ruined most of the floor. I had to remove tub and sink cabinet to make repair. When I lifted floor covering, flooring was so bad that it "fell" into space below, and I had to scoop it out by the had full.
