My 2014 Heartland will do that if the water backs into the shower pan. I didn't think it was right. But, I had the dealer check it - said it was normal.
Well, I called the factory and was told they use some sort of "soft" connection and the water can push past it. They said some techs try to glue it and make a Solid connection and that can make problems with things breaking.
They suggeted, not letting the grey tank overfill......
