jfkmk: not a dumb question at all! I didn't know that my 2008 fifth-wheel came with a winterization kit until two years ago. I was thinking about installing one, looked under the kitchen sink, and there it was all the time. (I had been wondering what that "extra" piece of hose was good for.) Well, I'm willing to come out and admit it.
There is another "extra" piece of hose under my bathroom sink that leads to nowhere and is capped off. I don't want to highjack this thread, so I may post about that later. On a slow day next winter.
