Water Shut Off ?

Does anyone shut off they're water before going to bed? If so, do you go outside to shut it off or did you install a valve inside.

Thinks!
  • I shut it off and use the on board pump for night time toilet use. RV's are so cheesy that you never know when they will blow a line off or start leaking around a fitting. I also shut the on board pump off most of the time and always when leaving. One good thing about using the on board pump is that it is also an early indicator of small leaks. If it cycles on every now and then it could be a non threatening internal pump leak but it can also be a small leak. Never ignore it.

X-2, The inside valve sounds like a great idea because I often forget to turn it back on upon returning and have to go back out and do it.

Though I usually forget to do so, it's not a bad idea to shut the water off outside at the spigot, especially when leaving for a while. I've read some horror stories of leaks springing forth!
  • I leave it on but am very OCD about leaky inlets and spigots. I plumber tape all my outside connections and have replaced dripping inlets twice on my current TT. I do not understand why these start to leak so easily but it drives me crazy when they do.
