Water won't boil??

1995 Cobra Sandpiper 30T. It has the magic chef 4 burner stove. Two full propane tanks, both in the open position. My refrigerator and hot water heater are working fine off the propane. But none of the 4 top burners will get water hot enough to boil?? I have checked for kinks and leaks, none to be found. Is there a separate regulator for the stove different from the regulator at the tanks? Also, I don't think the oven is getting hot enough either...biscuits wouldn't rise all the way.

Any suggestions??
  • No separate regulator.....the one at the tanks regulates ALL propane to rig.
It should be set to 11" WC with flow to an appliance

RV ovens take a lot of pre-heat to reach proper cooking temps.
Get an oven temp gauge and check what temp oven is reaching.

Your stove/oven gas valve may be clogging up and restricting flow.
  • Generally, there is one of the burners that is a higher BTU burner than the others. Usually it is one of the front ones as they prefer to have the high heat not so close to the walls. My stove is a 3 burner one, one in front, two in back. Front one for boiling or really high heat, the other two for warming more slowly.

It's one reason I have a two burner Coleman stove and cook outside, weather permitting. Has about twice the BTU and takes half as long to boil water for pasta or make coffee in the perculator.
