WD bar storage ideas or mods?

I mounted some "J" hooks on the "A" frame near the trailer wall. Hang the bars on the "J" and hook the chains on the chain bracket. Then padlock the safety chain on each side to the bar chain. Takes 2 padlocks but works pretty good. Also store the drawbar in the TT hitch pocket with the pocket locked.

The greased ends of the bars don't touch anything and it keeps them out of the interior.

A real thief could probably get what he wants but the causal stealer will have a little trouble.

I may just lay mine on top of the A frame hitch on the trailer or put in back of the van. Guess I have been lucky no teft

Someone also , leaves the whole hitch setup locked to the trailer in place (they locked the ball in place) . They added a hitch pin lock thru the shank so it can't be placed in someone else's 2x2 recvr. Padlocks and a length of additional chain thru the dist. bar chains.

I have 2" PVC pipe, about 18" long, mounted to the top of me front storage. I slide the bars in when not in use and can lock the storage door.

I'd used some square PVC fence posts which are about 4" wide, cut them and secure them under the a-frame. You can put caps on them if you wish. I didn't consider security an issue since I was either camping or it wax next to my house. I'm not sure anyone would steel just the plain bar, but anything is possible.

Mine does not lock but it does keep them off the ground. Just took two pieces of 3" pvc and mounted to a-frame. I suppose something could be added to lock them.
