So many people say they put the tongue jack down to relieve the weight on the TV suspension. A motor home never relieves the weight on the suspension with no apparent ill effects. I stay hooked up for an over night but do put the stab jacks down before putting out the slides.
So motor homes don't put any jacks down when they are camping?
A few high end coaches use the suspension air bags for levelers. Most have and use automatic electric or hydraulic jacks for leveling and stabilizing but I've never heard of any body putting their jacks to take the strain of the suspension.
Your car/truck sits around on the suspension for it's entire life with no ill effects.
I put the tongue jack down but it has zero to do with the truck....it had everything to do with stabilizing the TT...the less bouncing the better.
Thanks!
