Anyone have any feedback on the results of installing a bug/stone deflector on the front of your hood?Interested in if it helps keep some of the bugs off the front of the TC.Thanks!

Does ZERO to keep bugs off the camper, but does protect the front edge of my hood from rock chips.

Makes mine worse.Deflects the wind up and over the truck windshield and right into overhang :(

Even though they don't keep the bugs off the camper, I will still use one on all my trucks. (to protect the hood) (except my farm truck)

If you are trying to keep bugs out of the catcher's mitt you need to start with this idea:

There has been many posts of this and some really good modifications over the years.

No I do not use a hood deflector. I have a big A$$ front bumper nothing gets thru it! ;)

3M clear bra on mine. And the truck has a bug deflector. It doesn't do anything. I still touch up a bunch of paint chips on the hood every year.

A clear film installed on your hood and front fender areas works great to protect from rock chips. I have Xpel film on a white truck for 3 years now, no yellowing, peeling, curling or other issues that you hear about.

They are useless. The previous owner installed one and not only did it not do anything, it looked ugly from sun fade. Removed it after a year and tired of hearing flop when I shut the hood. Made the front of the truck look new again.
