Directly, probably not, but the fact that there's far more "short bed" 811s built would imply that it is for a 3/4 ton truck, since 1 ton short beds are rare, if they even exist.
BUT, up until a few years ago, the GM short bed truck had a lighter GVWR than a similar truck from Ford or Dodge. So in effect, you could do an 811 shorty on a Dodge or Ford and be closer to GVWR of that truck, since they had higher GVWRs.
Up through the 2010 model year, the GM trucks had the same weight ratings going back through 2001 when the HD series came out.
2500HD was 9200 GVWR.
