Weighed the rig, pretty close to within limits

Finally got a chance to try out my new setup.
First thing I'll say is the Stable Loads make a HUGE difference. My truck only sagged 3 3/4" and the ride was pretty darn stable and I haven't even installed the Big Wig sway bar yet.
I'll say with the same camper my 16 SRW handles as well as my 03 DRW.
With camper full of fresh water, truck at 3/4 fuel, me and a couple hundred pounds of tools and stuff I was 12,720 gross with 5400 font and 7320 rear. Truck GVW is 12,300.
Important thing is I'm within 20 lbs per tire limit on the stock tires bit would be well under with the 4080 lb Cooper 295.
I will add about 300 lbs of camping stuff so that will put me around 13k lbs gross.
Yes, a DRW would be better, but I'm very happy with the way it handles.
I haven't weighed the truck yet but guessing around low 8k lb range which put camper over 4K lbs.
  • The 05 Lance Brochure lists it at 3449 lbs.
I believe the Max models came standard with most of the options so water, batteries and propane would be added on which would probably be close to 500 lbs.
Truck may be heavier than I think as well.
I think with the sway bar and better tires I'll be good to go. Don't think I'll need the 19.5s.
  • Interesting numbers. What was your camper tagged at for weight?
