While your numbers seem to indicate you have enough capacity for that camper I think it will be closer than you think.
The actual payload of the truck will buy will be reduced by each and every option you add to the truck. Further, any bolt-ons like extra lights, step bars, bumpers, winch, sub woofer boxes, etc. will reduce the payload too.
How is the dry weight of that camper calculated? It likely doesn't include any batteries or propane. It may not include options that are on the camper from the factory. How light will you pack?
Probably, if you have a truck with no options or accessories, a camper with no options or accessories, and you pack very light and travel solo you will just be okay.
If it were me I'd go for a 2500 series truck so I didn't have to spend money on different tires, rims, air bags, etc. And so I didn't have to count every pound of cargo.
My own camper weights about 15% more dry than the sticker indicates.
