I found that my Tundra DB Cab handled a camper that was 2400 wet pretty well. I had LT tires and air bags, nothing else. There was no sway and it handled mountain passes just fine (I worried about descents till I tried it). Since we are now traveling back and forth to Alaska and towing a trailer nowadays, I upgraded to a one ton Cheby. There is a huge difference in the experience of driving a Tundra vs the Silverado 3500 and not in a good way, but it IS a truck. One thing I found with the Tundra was that keeping those tires up to max, 80lbs, made an enormous difference in ride and handling compared to even 60 lbs. But as long as everything was aired up I never felt overloaded at all. I don't know, but I've read many times that the Tundra suspension is overbuilt.
