I will weigh in I had a Chev 1500 all mods done shocks brakes springs and the truck handled it ok but I was definitly overweight even with a camper that weighed in at 1450lbs. went to an older truck 95 ford F350 7.3 diesel and a heavier camper on a duelly much happier only 190,000 on a bullet proof motor more stable, no mods needed handles great, only paid $8500 for the truck, allows for alot of spare cash to fix anything. You will be happier if you take other peoples advise (more experienced campers) on the forum and buy a truck more suited to do the job, I wish I would have had this web sight when I bought my Chev and camper, I wouldn't have mad a mistake on the first one.
