Think once you get used to the routine, it becomes much easier. And as another poster said, quite often you just leave it hooked up for overnight stops. Get a lock for the hitch head so it doesn't walk off if you want to leave it in the receiver. (I saw one guy who left his locked in the coupler, just dangling there, when he unhooked-guess that was his way of storing it)
As for wrestling the hitch head around, this little gadget works wonders. Makes the 50 lb hitch head feel more like 20.
