weight distributon/sway hitch?

Think I found the unit we want to purchase. It is a 29ft 7000 lb (dry)
and the previous owner (yes, pre-owned gently)unit did not use or have on the rig a weight distribution hitch/sway. I have one for my 24ft trailer and with that length I'm pretty sure I will need one???
Please give me input and what brand you would go with.
than you:)

Oh- yes, TV we have a 2011 Ram 3/4 ton Comings diesel

  • I currently have an 8 year old Reese 1000lb Round Bar WDH with Separate Sway Control. I've been looking to upgrade and can't decide between the BlueOx and the Equalizer. Both have good and bad stories, like every product. I've been trying to find a used Hensley Arrow, but no such luck yet. I can't bring myself to spend $2500 on a new one when what I have is "ok" and I think one of the other $500-$600 options of BlueOx and Equalizer should serve me well. Just wish I could easily test both out and see which I like better.
  • I have the Husky Centerline TS system. Im very very happy with it.

  • Current hitch is smaller/lighter than the new one so I will sell it with the old trailer.
  • I had a 10k Reese Dual Cam. Sold it and got a 12k Equalizer, it is awesome.
  • I bought the cheapy EZ lift brand wd /w sway on amazon. Could be better but it does exactly what i need it to do with no issues
  • I use the Reese HP Dual Cam system and have been extremely pleased with the performance and stability.
  • I have the equalizer with the built in sway. Does a great job hooked up to my 9,000 pound 34 ft HR
