Weight to tow thru mountains
I'm looking at 2 trailers that should be well within my truck's towing capacity on paper, but it will be towed thru mountains (Smoky and Rocky) at least part of the time. The trailers are very similar...

I have a similarly sized trailer, towing with a 2003 Tahoe LT, as seen in my siggy pic. 2 slides in the trailer. Fully loaded, I'm running about 6500 lbs in a trailer with a dry weight of ~5300 lbs. I routinely tow at altitude, in excess of 10000 feet on many passes and the accesses to those passes. I ain't breaking any speed records, but my Tahoe has plenty of power at altitude.
