I had P rated tires on my Tundra and upgraded to LT tires (E) and they definitely make a difference. With the P rated tires, I could feel some flexing of the tires even though they were inflated to maximum pressure. And, with LT tires inflated to 65 PSI on the rear of the truck, I'm getting better gas mileage by 1-2 miles per gallon. I tow about 6500 lbs. loaded and the Tundra handles it very well, and I've been in the Rockies.
