Thank you, all, for the information you are sharing. Obviously, I didn't have a clue that this was a common manufacturing defect.
Kayteg1 ... did you take the slide coompletely out to do this repair?
How did you get the frame pushed into place in order to screw that piece on?
My brain is saying that in my case, I'd have to push down on the top of the camper at the same time I would be pushing the frame from the bottom.
