Amen bro. To the OP, may this be the worst thing that happens with your new trailer.....go camping, have fun, get it fixed when you get back.

Shop Vac! keep running it over the rug until it's damp and then towel pat for a while with a lot of towels! put a couple of fans pointed towards the damp areas with the windows open and as others have stated and I use all the time is the damp rid. leave that in the trailer all the time. We do and it keeps the windows from getting wet overnight while we sleep too. moisture will kill the TT if left to run it's own course. Good luck.....

If no more rain is in the forecast, take the trailer out, open all the slides and let it air out. Ofcourse, you should call your dealer and make an appointment ASAP. I'm sure they'll take there time getting you in for an appointment.

We had a window gasket that leaked and did not find out until the wall was soft. We got it into our dealer found the window to be the issue replaced the insulation and the luan for $900. We were out of warranty. You should be taken care of.

Go enjoy your weekend, but I agree when you see that it is disheartning.

First, you have no way of knowing if anyone, including the OP, has lost anyone, including a spouse or child.

Second, get back to me about devastation when your wife AND three young children are ALL murdered.

Get a life and stop making a big issue over a simple choice of words.

I can't tell you how many times we had to deal with water issues, sinks overflowing, toilet pedal sticking and water running over the top, hot water heater rupturing and flooding the motorhome with water. We have gotten very good at tilting the motorhome with the levelers to let the water run out the side however it can find a way. It drys. Use any or all of the suggestions about but go camping. Can't deal with the dealer or manufacture over the weekend but do document all of your telephone calls with time, date and who you spoke with. Also send a certified letter to the customer service of both the dealer and the manufacture. If possible get it to the manufacture for repair. The dealers don't get paid by the hour for warranty work so they look for the quick fix. Problems are just part of the experience and soon you will writing of yours and possible solutions. Call the campground tell them what happened and that you might be a day late. They may give you credit or not but GO!!!

If you can dry it out in good weather using a fan and/or dehumidifier, everything should be OK. It's not as bad as residence water problem where sheetrock and insulation are involved.

After your PDI experience I am just stunned. That much drama and misfortune is just not needed by anyone.

Open all the windows as you drive to the campground , go buy one of those carpet drying fans at home depot , it will dry it real quick. Go and have fun , laugh about it in 10 years .

Not really necessary. Now was it. You didn't attempt, you did it. No one is putting it on parr with a loss of family member. For ANY reason. However people tend to be really upset when their brand new TT, or anything else for that matter is defective.

Want to really compare devastation? Call me. It might make you feel better about your life. But, It doesn't belong here. This is supposed to be fun.

Yeah. I have. :( (not cancer but something else) It's a big part of the reason we got this TT. To try to bring some joy back around here. It's a lot of money to spend to have one rain destroy (the water damage, not the weekend out) not to mention the disappointment of just more things gone wrong.

I'm just trying to bring some happy to this family but its just so dang hard to at the moment. Not to mention I still need to figure out how to use most of this TT after our less than spectacular walk through.

Yes, I know. Grand scheme of things water damage to trailer isn't the end of the world. It's not as extensive as I thought. The pillows and carpet are sopping and I envisioned the worst. Thankfully they had a cheap plastic film on most (not all) so they remained dry. The wood pieces can be replaced easily and so hopefully the walls and floor suffer no long term damage from this. I've had a basement flood when a visitor left a window open and the damage (and cost to repair) was crazy. The drywall, behind the drywall, the subfloor and flooring. I guess I had flashbacks to that ordeal. It looked the same- water running down the wall, everything soaking. Ahhhhhh. Not good memories, that's for sure.

But you are right. It's not devastation but *I* was devastated to have walked in and seen that water everywhere. We didn't lose our home but dang- these things start costing as much as one and they take a long time to save up for. ;)
