Huh :h Didn't know GM went to Denso and ditched the Bosch CP4. I remember reading they had the same issues as Ford but that GM was more likely to just file it under warranty and no argue with customers.
Ford has a history of sticking owners with the bill for grenaded CP4 pumps and fuel system damage. Hopefully they don't try that with the OP.

GM switched pumps in their 2017 redesign. Had they already done so on their 2015 models I might be driving a Duramax right now. At the time I bought my Ram I really felt like it was the only viable heavy duty diesel option. It's been a great truck aside from a failed water pump and too many recalls. Unfortunately all vehicles have their pros and cons.
