I am retired General Contractor as well.
Now the time you saved on cleaning the pickup, you will spend on checking new vehicle oils, tire pressure and other stuff.
For me going to TC was simple economic. I did not use RV a lot after boys moved out and could not stand paying all the fees, while watching the tires rotten.
Fact is that when I had ClassC years ago, I work for the mill where they call me almost every weekend.
So suddenly one Friday they told me I can have weekend off.
That were the times when we did not have cellphones, so I could not call wife. We left in motorhome 1.5hr after I got home regardless.
