Why not leave the cats in the trailer?
exactly! we put a litter box in the shower and a pad under the box too keep any litter from going down the drain. worked well w/out any problems for many miles and yrs. this was when we had a 5th wheel and the cat never caused any problems. no reasons it won't work for a TT.
Take an already rough riding TT and add in some notorious rough Alaskan roads and you got a recipe for disaster. If they plan to stick to the smooth roads then they'd be ok. In the rough patches, I'd be concerned for the cats even if they were in cages. Maybe if they were far enough ahead of the axles they'd be fine. And I'm the type of person that lets me animals ride in trailer sometimes. When the dog wants to ride in the trailer, he gets to ride in it. Wrestling 100 lbs of dead weight out of a TT ain't easy lol.
