went to the scales, what do you think?

The biggest issue I have is the numbers are nice but there is not a lot that can be done. The TT weighs so much, your stuff weighs so much, so which of the kids are you going to leave home to make weight?

We guessed right when we decided to limit our TT search to 25 ft. and 5000 lbs. Still it is a max load for our TV.

For whatever it's worth to those who might be considering a Sherline tongue weight scale, I give it two thumbs up. I have the one that measures to 1000 pounds, and a friend has the one that goes to 2000 pounds. We compared them one right after the other measuring the TW of one of my trailers, and they matched.
The number from the sherline was with 20 pounds of the CAT scale reading also from my recent three pass weigh-in there.

What does your WD hitch manual say about adjusting it. Mine says the trailer and truck should be level. Some folks prefer the TT a bit nose down.

If my WD hitch is adjusted the way I like it and the scales say I have not exceeded the TT or TV axel ratings while still within my TV rated cargo capacity. I am good to go.

Weighing the truck, TT, then combo separately is the best way to get all the numbers you need. I gives you a better measure of your true tongue weight.

The TT and tongue weight of course can change, depending on how and how much stuff you load into your TT for each trip.

No you can't tell because we don't know what the measurements were before you hooked up and before you engaged the WD hitch.

From what you said about how nice the trailer tows you probably are just fine. Your numbers only tell us that you are not overloaded. It says nothing about how your WD hitch is adjusted.

Without weighing you can estimate by looking to see how level your set up is when hooked up. You can also measure the height of the wheel wells before you hookup and after you engage the WD bars. Weighing will tell you how much weight is removed from the steer wheels and then how much of this is returned after engaging your WD bars.

You need two more passes in order to confirm this. One pass with the trailer tongue on ball (no WD) and one with no trailer at all.

I suspect your front axle is still a little light, but the two passes above would confirm. Otherwise, as you said it drives well and all weights under ratings.

I agree, axle weights are good. As to the WDH set up, you will have to weigh the TV separately, to get original front weight, to tell if you are returning most of front axle weight back, after hooking up trailer and WDH.

It may also help prior to hitching up , measure the front and rear fender height , measure from ground the wheel well . Check the setup instructions for your brand of hitch.
In general the front remains the same while the rear can squat an inch. You need to keep enough weight on the rear tires as to NOT spin them on dirt/gravel when towing with a RWD vehicle.

Other than not knowing the CGVWR, it looks fine.

As others have said, not enough info to know what the wD Hitch is doing.

The set-up drives just fine, one hand steering even in the wind. I really just weighed it for my own knowledge.

you seem to be in good shape. your gross is 7200# and you are at 6660#. none of your axles are close to being maxed out either. how does it ride and handle? is the combo setting level? the numbers are good. only you can tell if the setup is acceptable to you.
