Were can I find a honest repair shop! Salem, Or?

I am getting sick and tired of dealing with un-professional repair shops in the Salem, Oregon area.

1. In July of this year Power Diesel Professionals by the Air Port charged me approximately $1,400.00 to fix a brake problem. They had the 99 Dodge diesel for about two weeks, had to replace the rear drums, call the factory service rep, changed out some type of valve by the master calendar and seemed to just through parts at it in hopes to fit it.

2 August 19; took my truck to ACE Diesel in Turner, Oregon for a heater core change out. They said the truck would be done by Friday 21 or three day. The repair shop never return my calls during the week and on Friday was all closed up before 5:00PM. The repair shop said the truck would be done on Friday. They said their open until 5:00 PM Monday thur Friday! Basically the truck set in their yard with no one touching it of five days. Finally they answered their phone on August 24, Monday and said the truck would be done in two days. Went to pick the truck up Wednesday at 4:30 and they screwed up the shifting indicator. Still don't have the truck back since last Wednesday.

Please help me.

It's hard enough paying $100.00 per hour and then getting poor service, no one calling you for updates, having the truck much longer than scheduled for and just getting a general run around!

Recommendation anyone????

  • Continental Transmission in Albany is a great shop! They don't just do transmissions anymore (not in a long time actually).
  • I agree with donn0128...avoid ANY shops in Salem (30 yrs experience there) and go to Dallas.
  • Dallas auto repair in Dallas treated me very fair last year when we were DOA at Independence airport. 1200 fuel pump and a couple hundred dollars for R&R.
  • did you post your experiences on RVSERVICEREVIEWS.COM
and check there for a shop
