Wet bath Shower curtain

Our1998 Lance Legend 945 has a wet bath and the shower curtain has tabs that fit into a groove that runs along one side of the bathroom , closing it off when you shower. The curtain is starting to tear and I want to replace it with something more colorful. Can these curtains be purchased or has anyone ever made one out of a traditional shower curtain with rings.

  • Not sure what type of clips you have. On ours I just unscrewed clips from the curtain and then reinstalled them at the holes in the new curtain, but then ours was already on a ceiling track. You can get flexible ceiling track that will follow curves and give more space.
  • Putting in a standard shower rod is a little tricky because the wall has an angle that the track follows. A straight rod will cut the space in an already small bathroom when you are showering. I wanted to know if there is any way to either buy a shower curtain that has the clips that fit in the track or has anyone removed the clips and put them somehow into a standard curtain that has been modified to hold them.
  • We've replaced ours with a standard but heavy duty shower curtain. We just trimmed off the excess. There are many styles from clear to multi colored.
  • Our wet bath has ceiling a track with tabs that attach the shower curtain which runs across the door opening. Since it's old and the cabinetry and walls worried me about being waterproof I added more ceiling track and another shower curtain to cover all that. I purchased standard shower curtains and shortened them to the length I needed. We removed the door as well and have a ceiling track upholstery fabric "door". Again with the ceiling track, I installed a privacy curtain that can be pulled closed to shut off the bath area for after shower drying and dressing space where my tiny ceramic heater warms up the space. When not closed the curtain is held back out of the way with customized plastic door retainer straps that just snap. Works great and no freezing your tusch when getting out of the shower, just have to be sure to lock the camper entry door to prevent unexpected company.
  • There are several different shower curtain rods for RVs.

In our TC, the shower curtain rail handles a standard shower curtain.

If yours doesn't you might think about changing the rail that holds the curtain, then you can decorate with any home style curtain that will fit. They aren't too expensive.

If you want to keep the original rail, add a picture of it and someone here will be able to give a suggestion on how they solved the issue.
